Less is more. At Grigsby Vineyard, we focus on only three wines. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. Millennia ago our parent bedrock material, the Vaca mountain range, rose up from a violent mixture of volcanic and tectonic activity. Over time this bedrock eroded away and was deposited right here, on Grigsby Vineyard. Today we focus our winemaking efforts in the vineyard. The wines we make are an expression of this special place, the vintage, and our dedicated team that works the land.
Where Artistry Meets the Bottle
Napa Valley Carbernet Sauvignon
The 2021 Grigsby Cabernet Sauvignon is a celebration of a wonderful growing season in the Napa Valley. Hand-harvested, multiple small picks took place over the month of September as our vineyard team identified pockets of perfect maturity.
Gently processed in the cellar, the grapes were hand sorted and destemmed before being fermented in stainless steel open tops and oak barrels. Upon the completion of fermentation, the wine was aged in large puncheon barrels (50% new) for 18 months and was left totally undisturbed before bottling without fining or filtration.
